I'm Andi Zhang, a journalist and photographer from Beijing, China. I graduated from Communication University of China in 2015 and got my master's degree in Journalism from Boston University in 2021.
I love using visual storytelling to record my observation toward the world, no matter the beauty or ugly, brightness or darkness. I have a strong interest in photography since high school. My first DSLR is a red Pentax Kr, which I took with me to Vietnam and various school events. When I entered college, I owned a Canon 5D Mark II to work on professional photography and video shooting skills. I did some documentaries with my classmates and portrait for friends and family members. I also brought a Canon A1 with me when I decided to do some film photography. Now, I chose to stay in the area between digital and film, which is provided by a Fuji X-T3 that contains all benefits of a film camera and has the form of a digital mirrorless camera.
Here on this website, you can see my recent work during my study at Boston University. Inspired by experienced professors and creative classmates, the articles, photos, and videos are full of interest and perspectives. Hope you enjoy them!
